Different Is Brilliant: Returning to Work, Owning My Story
This July, I came back to work after taking FMLA leave. That break was more than just rest — it was a turning point. During that time, I received my bipolar 1 diagnosis. At first, it was scary and overwhelming. But over time, I began to see it differently: my wiring isn’t broken. It’s part of my power.
For a long time, I wondered why I didn’t move through the world like everyone else. Why my energy, focus, and creativity came in bursts. Getting the diagnosis didn’t change who I am — it just gave me language. It gave me freedom to own my differences, and to see them as brilliance instead of flaws.
When I came back to work, I wanted to carry that mindset into everything I do. That’s why this store exists. It’s not just a shop — it’s a reflection of the ways people like me (and maybe like you) are wired differently, still brilliant.
You’ll find gothic fantasy designs with powerful affirmations, sassy and humorous art that makes you laugh on hard days, anime pieces that celebrate imagination, and cyberpunk vibes for when you want to channel resilience in neon. Each piece is about more than aesthetics — it’s about celebrating neurodivergence, embracing uniqueness, and reclaiming pride.
Because being different isn’t something to hide. It’s something to celebrate.
If you’re sipping coffee from a mug, wearing one of our tees, or scrolling through the art, I hope you see a reminder: your mind is your magic, your humor is your shield, your difference is your strength.
